BCSA uses Google Analytics to perform statistical analyses of users’ behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the BCSA website. Google Analytics does not collect personal information. Otherwise, the only cookie BCSA uses is one that saves the choice you make regarding cookies.

Target Zero

A new £1 million 'Target Zero' project is looking at five major building types (schools, warehouses, offices, supermarkets and mixed use) and will generate fully-costed solutions demonstrating how to achieve the three highest BREEAM ratings and meet the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.

2011 Structural Steel Design Awards Announced08.07.2011

The 43rd Structural Steel Design Awards were presented at an evening reception held at Kings Place, London on Thursday 7 July.

Awards were given to:

• Cannon Place, London
• Marks & Spencer Distribution Facility, ProLogis Park, Bradford
• American Express Community Stadium, Brighton
• Exposure, Lelystad

Commendations were given to:

• The St Botolph Building, London
• ExCeL Phase 2, London
• The Rose Bowl, Southampton
• The Hauser Forum, Cambridge
• River Suir Bridge, Waterford

Certificates of Merit were given to:

• 2010 Festival of Speed Sculpture, Goodwood
• New Cross Gate Flyover, East London Line
