A new £1 million 'Target Zero' project is looking at five major building types (schools, warehouses, offices, supermarkets and mixed use) and will generate fully-costed solutions demonstrating how to achieve the three highest BREEAM ratings and meet the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
Corus Long Products will be raising its prices for structural sections by 60 GBP per tonne effective on all deliveries made from 02 May 2010.
Corus advises that there have been significant changes in the structural sections and general steel markets over recent weeks. Global demand and prices for raw materials increased through 2009 and these are forecast to continue rising throughout 2010. In addition, global supply chains have destocked significantly and stock levels are now considered to be in balance.
