A new £1 million 'Target Zero' project is looking at five major building types (schools, warehouses, offices, supermarkets and mixed use) and will generate fully-costed solutions demonstrating how to achieve the three highest BREEAM ratings and meet the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
The 2010 Structural Steel Design Awards were presented at an evening reception held at the Imperial War Museum, London on Thursday 8 July.

• Terminal 2 Dublin Airport

• The Rose Bowl, Leeds Metropolitan University
• Cathedral Bridge, Derby
• Energy Recovery Plant, Corus Port Talbot
• A40 Perryn Road Footbridge
Certificates of Merit were given to:
• The Riverside Museum, Glasgow
• Helical Stair, 500 Brook Drive, Reading
• Wind Turbine Enclosure, Strata, London SE1
