A new £1 million 'Target Zero' project is looking at five major building types (schools, warehouses, offices, supermarkets and mixed use) and will generate fully-costed solutions demonstrating how to achieve the three highest BREEAM ratings and meet the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
Entries are invited for the 2011 Structural Steel Design Awards Scheme.
The Awards are open to steel based structures situated in the United Kingdom or overseas that have been built by UK or Republic of Ireland steelwork contractors using steel predominantly sourced from Corus. Structures should have been completed and ready for use in the calendar years 2009-2010 – previous entries are not eligible.
Closing date is entries in the 2011 Awards is Friday 3 December 2010. An Entry Form is available for download.
