A new £1 million 'Target Zero' project is looking at five major building types (schools, warehouses, offices, supermarkets and mixed use) and will generate fully-costed solutions demonstrating how to achieve the three highest BREEAM ratings and meet the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
The BCSA's human resource and training activities are a response to the members requiring a more collective approach to such issues.
A HR Guide for the SME members was published in 2008 which gives practical guidance to those that are not full time HR professionals. The BCSA is concentrating on the training and education needs of the steel construction industry, the provision of information resources to university undergraduates and careers advice to students.
